Princeton, NJ – 10 September 2008:- ProImage America has today announced the launch of MediaWay, an advanced and flexible ‘open’ browser-based content management and editorial workflow solution, designed for all those who work in print and web-based media.

"MediaWay offers our customers a streamlined solution to create printed and or web pages in a collaborative, accessible environment. It also provides increased control, even when content is used across several publications," said ProImage CEO, Ilan Vinner. "And, because everything is managed via a web browser, it avoids the costs and conflicts associated with maintaining desktop applications. It also easily adapts to a wide variety of production environments and can be personalized for each user profile. It is the most powerful, resilient and flexible tool we have yet developed for content management and editorial workflow."

MediaWay will be formally launched at the FOLIO: Show 2008 - Chicago, September 22-24.

A powerful stand-alone solution, MediaWay provides a full complement of browser-based production tools that incorporate all aspects of the magazine, book, and periodical production processes – all fully supported by ProImage.

“With its advanced features, MediaWay will provide tremendous workflow benefits for publishers, design agencies, commercial printers and other graphic arts creators involved in high-volume, high-quality print and web publishing,” adds Rick Shafranek, Vice President of Sales and Marketing, ProImage America.

MediaWay is an integrated solution that offers more efficient data management, improved process control, real-time collaboration and higher throughput. Instead of storing files locally or in proprietary formats, all content is centrally managed and can be accessed, and if necessary continually tracked as source material across several publications. It combines the openness of an XML-based content management solution with an extensive integration for printed publications using Adobe® InDesign for layout and ProImage NewsWay for pre-flight, proofing, color management and automation.

MediaWay can be efficiently used for content as well as for layout-driven publications such as brochures, magazines, posters, data sheets, manuals, books, newsletters, reports and newspapers.

The new MediaWay extends ProImage's expertise and comprehensive portfolio in total systems solutions for graphic arts with a product that combines flexible content management with a powerful workflow platform for page layout based on open standards and accessibility through a standard web browser. MediaWay fully complements the company’s successful production management and integration solutions NewsWay, NewsWay Lite, and TracWay.
