TracWay is unique. By intelligently monitoring pre-press and production systems it allows performance to be measured and decisions to be made, saving error and reducing costs.
TracWay may be configured to a newspaper's individual needs; it will measure the Key Performance Indicators of the various production systems installed, and report on these systems' performance. The information TracWay provides allows: throughput to be streamlined; productivity improved; and management to make the
informed decisions that effect profitability. The system can be as simple or as sophisticated as required.
TracWay provides a window from which users can see all the files in the various systems, their size, and when they arrive at a given point in the production process. This enables people to identify should anything go wrong with any of the processes, and immediately take the necessary action.
All the information may also be saved in order to create relevant statistics and reports. These can be analyzed aiding, for example, decisions on future system enhancements or purchases. It also enables people to see how well they are doing and whether they have hit their deadlines; to work out if they need to change a
process; whether it needs automating; or whether it is worth investing money in one area rather than another.
TracWay software is platform independent and enables publishers to use their preferred hardware, operating system, and in-house technical skills. It will fully support Windows™, Unix™ and Linux™ kernels as well as Macintosh® OSX. It uses the latest software tools, and is developed as an Application Server-based solution
using the J2EE platform. |
